No surprise that a lot of these guys struggle with retirement. Hardly anyone in any industry is thinking about retirement when they start work on day one. This has a longer wait time on getting to 401k and retirement benefits than most industries, simply because the players are retiring at a relatively young age.
As with anything however, everyone needs to have a plan and several options on that plan in case circumstances change.
I think a key section of the writing here is often overlooked in cases where players get into financial trouble – things have always worked out in the past – most of the players just know that happened, they never delve into the nuts and bolts of why ‘things just worked out’

I understand that we need to stop eating the portion sizes we have, put the fork down, mix in a salad or two, or even go outside (oh the horror) and take a walk, but is this really an answer?
I can see it now, this will cue the rise of drink kingpins. I see the Nino Browns and Tony Sopranos of the cola wars. Maybe we need a new letter to the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Colas.
I really do not even know what to say here. Quite frankly at this point in our country’s progression whether there is a D or an R behind the name, I would doubt very seriously that many of them could pass a citizenship test, much less than a test on the Constitution.

Usually when Dianne Feinstein and I are on the same side of an idea something is usually awry. But I have to think that allowing this to Italy does open the door to any NATO Nation that asks.
Its not that I think that the US should be the controllers of this kind of technology, I am just suspect of how well others will take care these items, much less let them fall into the wrong hands.
