What a 1964 The Dave Clark FIve had- seven Top 40 hits in the US- ‘Anyway You Want It’ being the fifth one at the end of the year. The song is notable for its use of echo and reverb. The usual energy from the DC5 is there. They performed the song on The Ed Sullivan Show. ‘Anyway You Want It’ was also the final song ever performed by The Ramones- August 6, 1996 at The Palace in Los Angeles. Eddie Vedder joined them on stage as a guest vocalist. Kiss also covered the song on their Alive II album in 1977.
