Poison a glam rock band out of Harrisburg, Pa- had from 1987-3 12 Hot 100 singles with 10 making the Top 40. 6 made the Top 10. This was their only #1. It was inspired one night in Dallas- singer Bret Michaels was in a laundromat and called his girlfriend- he heard a male voice in the background- and was devastated- and sat down and wrote this song.
1988 was overshadowed by anything else as our city hosted the 88 Olympic Winter Games is likely when I get a smidgen of a recall when “Good Girls” didn’t openly listen to “hair bands”
Those old gals are listening now — except @BrettMichaels bastardized any worthiness to artistic creative melodies that where a byproduct of the 80s, appreciated greatly to our millennial children who quite like the styles, the melodies that made us unique in our then 20s
Thanks for your loyal support
