  1. While it’s safe to assume The Rolling Stones won’t come out with new songs that are of “Sticky Fingers” or comparable caliber, the fact these “old rockers” are still writing new stuff is pretty amazing. As somebody who has liked the Stones for many years this makes me happy!

“Living in a Ghost Town” is their first new original tune in 8 years! Based on what I just read in Rolling Stone, Jagger actually wrote the song pre-COVID-19 and recently adjusted some of the lyrics, so it better fits the current situation.

Apparently, there are also 5 to 6 other tracks, with Jagger teasing they currently have plenty of time to write, since they had to postpone their tour. Undoubtedly, this is going to spark more conversation about a new Stones album!

    • Don’t you think even if The Rolling Stones came up with an album of songs that were as good as Sticky Fingers- no one would acknowledge it as such at this point. It would be great if they had one more pretty good album in them- of original material. This song shows they still have it in them! Interesting 60’s Icons- Dylan and The Stones have released good new material in the past month.

    • Actually, as sad as it is, I think you’re right a great album like “Sticky Fingers” nowadays would no longer get the kind of appreciation it did back in 1971. Plus, it was an unfair comparison to begin with. That new Stones tune is better than most other newly released music!

  2. Hearing this right now for the first time. If someone would have told me when I was in High School that in 2020 I would be listening to the new Rolling Stones song I would not have believed it!

    • That reminds me of a year and a half ago- my friend Helmet and I saw Dylan in concert. We had seen him in 1980- 40 years ago together too. He said -who thought in 1980 we would be seeing Dylan 40 years later… Yes The Stones keep going. Maybe another album?
