Ike and Tina Turner were married from 1958-76. From 1960-75 they had 20 Hot 100 singles with 6 making the Top 40. Their biggest hit was the great cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Proud Mary” #4 in 1971. Tina after dumping Ike would go on to have a highly successful solo career. On this single- they cover The Beatles on the a-side and The Rolling Stones on the b-side.
I like what Tina & The Girls (and Ike and the band) do with this song. Cool how they have them on the stage with the band on a screen in the background.
