  • WILCO: YANKEE HOTEL FOXTROT: 2001: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: Not that I am Mr. 21st Century Man- but this album would be on my short list for best album of the nearly first 20 years of this century. There was a fine documentary made about the making of the album also that is worth seeing- I Am Trying To Break Your Heart. Album universally  acclaimed- my favorite tracks- I Am Trying To Break Your Heart, Kamera, War On War, Heavy Metal Drummer, I’m The Man Who Loves You, Pot Kettle Black.  On the list of 1001 albums to hear.

    • I’d call them Alternative Rock/Indie. Jeff Tweedy the leader of the band was previously in Uncle Tupelo when they broke up over 20 years ago- he formed Wilco- and the other member of Uncle Tupelo formed Son Volt.
