It all started on this day- July 12, 1962 at the Marquee Club in London-The Rolling Stones first concert. I wonder if the boys have one more huge concert tour left in them? Personally I think they should have called it quits years ago. The Beatles got it right. The Rolling Stones are my third favorite British rock group behind The Beatles and The Who. My favourite Stones album would have to be “Exile On Main Street” My favorite Stones song “Tumbing Dice” Charlie has to be my favourite Stone. I’ve seen the Stones three times in concert.

Charlie keeps all of them grounded…Ian Stewart was really important to them and gets forgotten at times.
I liked the story how Ian liked to book their hotels on the tours- near golf courses so he could golf.
That is funny. I know Keith thought the world of him. He didn’t seem upset at all that he ended up being a tour manager/roadie.
The only real problem with the band as I see it is Mick Jagger has very limited vocal talent.
I think his strength is as a showman- a performer.
