2018 NFL Mock Draft Pick #26 Atlanta Falcons – DT Maurice Hurst – Michigan

Falcons opportunities for a title are at their peak. As with any team in the NFL it is now our never. To borrow from former Oilers and Falcons head coach Jerry Glanville – This is the NFL which stands for NOT FOR LONG – i won’t finish the rest of that colorful quote.

Falcons need help on the Dline now that Adrian Clayborn and Dontari Poe have left via free agency. Clayborn went to New England, while Poe chose to go to a division rival in Carolina. If Taven Bryan is available here, he might also be the pick, but since he is off the board Maurice Hurst will do nicely.

Hurst is a 6’1″ 292 beast in the mosh pit of the line of scrimmage. He is quick has good closing speed and disrupts a lot of plays. He may be a little undersized and teams may use this to run right at him. He may have issues defending downhill runs right over his position, but he is smart enough to evolve his game and adapt.

Atlanta will pick Maurice Hurst DT Michigan.
