Goal -to listen to 1500 different albums in a 12 month period.

TODAY- listened to 4 different albums. Total for 121 days- 766 different albums. On pace for 2311.

  • GUY CLARK: KEEPERS: 1997: 4 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: An excellent live album featuring 15 songs from several Guy Clark concerts in Nashville. Clark is playing many of his best loved songs. I wish I had seen him in concert.
  • RON SEXSMITH/ DON KERR: DESTINATION UNKNOWN: 2005: 4 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: An acoustic album with fellow Canadian Kerr. Great harmony singing with Sexsmith taking the lead. Another fine album in the Sexsmith catalog- a little different- pretty basic musically.
  • LEONARD COHEN: THE FUTURE: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: Some great songs on this one- The Future, Democracy, Waiting For A Miracle, Anthem, Closing Time. Cohen brings some politics and history into this album- it came out after the Berlin Wall fell, Tiananmen Square. This would be Leonard’s last studio album for about a decade. Nine songs- that clock in just under an hour.
  • ELVIS COSTELLO: ARMED FORCES: 1979: DISC 2: 4 1/2 STARS: Disc 2 on the reissue series- b-sides, alternative tracks-live concert- When push comes to shove I would have to say Armed Forces is my favorite EC album. The extras -good stuff.
