LISTENED TO 3 DIFFERENT ALBUMS TODAY. TOTAL 14 DAYS-88 DIFFERENT ALBUMS LISTENED TO. ON PACE TO LISTEN TO 2294 DIFFERENT ALBUMS.

  • LOUIS ARMSTRONG: KEN BURNS JAZZ. 2000.  5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS. The most important American musician ever? Yesterday I started re-watching the Ken Burns “Jazz” series, I saw it when it came out at the turn of the century and watched it again maybe ten years ago.
  • THE BEATLES: PAST MASTERS I: 1987. 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS. The two “Past Masters” albums collect Beatles singles that weren’t on original albums. Can you imagine how great all the albums would have been if they had been included in the original albums?
  • CHRIS BELL: I AM THE COSMOS:1992. 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS. Recorded in the mid 1970’s,  Bell- who was the Paul McCartney to Alex Chilton’s John Lennon- in Big Star was killed in a car crash at age 27 in 1978. The album wasn’t released until 1992. One of those great under the radar albums of all time.
