Goal -to listen to 1500 different albums in a 12 month period.

TODAY- 5 DIFFERENT ALBUMS LISTENED TO. 13 DAYS- 85 DIFFERENT ALBUMS.

  • TALKING HEADS- TALKING HEADS ’77: 1977. 4 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS. Promising debut album from what would prove to be one of the most exciting new wave groups of the era. One of their greatest songs “Psycho Killer” is on this one.
  • SINEAD O’CONNOR: SEAN-NOS-NUA: 2002: 4 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS. At the height of her fame in 1990 with the #1 song and #1 album in the country she sabotaged her career on Saturday Night Live by ripping up a picture of the Pope, and other acts of immaturity and a lot of people just turned her off forever which is a shame because no matter how big a dumpster fire she has made of her private and public life the bottom line is she is an amazing talent with a wonderful voice. She can really sing. On this album she covers traditional Irish songs. Over her now 30 year career she has released only ten albums amid her struggles.
  • CHARLIE PARKER: KEN BURNS JAZZ: 2000. 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS.
  • VAN MORRISON: SAINT DOMINIC’S PREVIEW: 1972. 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS. Another amazing early 1970’s album from Van The Man- featuring two of my favorite Van songs’ Jackie Wilson Said” and “Saint Dominic’s Preview.”
  • MARVIN GAYE: WHAT’S GOING ON: 1971. 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS. Motown seemed to be just about making hits-until this concept album from Marvin Gaye. “What’s Going On”  one of the greatest Motown songs ever.

  1. Thank you. One thing I need to do more of- { and I am doing this but not as much as I should} is listen to a lot more albums that I have neglected for years.
