THE BEATLES HOLD THE TOP 5 SPOTS IN TOP 100- THIS DAY IN 1964

On this day in 1964 The Beatles accomplished something that hasn’t been done before or since- they held down the top 5ive spots on the Billboard Top 100 Singles Chart. The week before “Can’t Buy Me Love” entered the charts at #27. In its second week, on April 4, 1964 it jumped to #1.  It was followed by at #2 “Twist and Shout”, #3 “She Loves You”, #4 “I Want To Hold Your Hand”, and #5 “Please Please Me.” There were seven other Beatles songs in the Top 100 that week- #31 “I Saw Her Standing There”, #41 “From Me To You”, # 46 “Do You Want To Know A Secret?”, #58 “All My Loving”, #65 “You Can’t Do That”, #68 “Roll Over Beethoven”, and #79 “Thank You Girl.”
