One of the greatest footballers [soccer} of all times George Best was born on this date in 1946. He died at age 59 in 2005. In the 60’s he was nicknamed “The Fifth Beatle”.. he was known for being a hard living guy, a playboy . He played for a number of teams but was most famous for his years with Manchester United. He was from Northern Ireland.  He did have one of the great quotes of all times “I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.
