When Top 40 radio was still worth listening to. “Steppin’ Out” is an all-time favorite, as is “Rock The Casbah” and “Africa.” Oddly, I don’t remember “Shock The Monkey”; I’d probably replace it with “I. G. Y.”
How dare you stick ‘Mickey’ with a lousy D; Its an F- surely? True, tiny Toni dancer can kick ass, but after the first five MTV plays, who cares?
I find it amazing how many of these tunes I recognize just based on their titles. I certainly can’t say this about today’s charts!
This list takes me back! I actually loved ‘Mickey’ until I saw the video, which I could never unsee after that.
