Peter Nero was born Bernard Nierow in 1934. Nero is still living- he’s 87. Nero is a pop-jazz pianist. This was his only Hot 100 hit.
One of my somewhat secret pleasures is easy-listening music. Peter Nero has been a mainstay of the format for years.
I was unfamiliar with Nero until coming upon this.. I forgot to add he won a Grammy for Best New Artist- I believe in 1960 or 1961?
loved that, it was so mellow.
