Sonny and Cher had 18 Hot 100 hits and 10 Top 40 hits from 1965 to 1973–[their marriage ended in 1975.] ‘All I Ever Need Is You’ was their first Top 40 hit since ‘The Beat Goes On’- in 1967. Their biggest hit was their first one- ‘I Got You Babe’ which went to #1 in 1965. By 1971 though Cher was well on her way to solo stardom- ‘Gypsy’s, Tramps and Thieves’ had went to #1 earlier in 1971.
