#41- ‘Lady Madonna’- a 1968 single-a #4 hit single in the US- #1 in the UK. Written by Paul McCartney- with a little help from John Lennon on the lyrics. A rock and roll number in the style of 1950’s Fats Domino- who would later record a great version of the song himself.
Fats also did a version of “Everybody’s Got Something To Hide Except For Me And My Monkey.” But you probably knew that.
Did yopu like the White Album? As Beatles albums go, it is probably my least favourite. I mean, still has brilliant tracks. I quite like this one.
