The duo of husband and wife- Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett- had 7 Hot 100 singles- 2 of which cracked the Top 40- their biggest hit being “Never Ending Song Of Love’- earlier in 1971 #13. ‘Only You Know And I Know’ was written and first performed by Dave Mason on his Alone Together album in 1970- the Mason single just missed the Top 40 peaking at #42.

Not hard to see why Clapton loved them; their sound early on was much like his in later years. Give a bunch of southern good old boy musicians some Jack Daniels and whacky tabackey, stick them in a studio, and this is what you get; kick-ass rock. Good to see you gave them a shout out.
