This is incredible- the first of six #1 hits by Paula Abdul- a pop dance ‘singer’ and choreographer. Six #1 hits hard to believe. She’s doesn’t have much of a voice- or singing talent but from 1988-2009 she had 15 Hot 100 singles with 11 making the Top 40. 6 #1’s.

  1. While Paula A. was cute and seemed sweet & likable enough, I never understood her massive popularity either. I agree with you that she was not a good singer, and her songs were all mediocre. As I commented on one of your previous posts, 1988-89 is when pop music really accelerated on a downhill slide, from which it’s never recovered.
