#56 ‘Come Together’- from Abbey Road- written by John Lennon- the opening track on the last album that The Beatles recorded. It was also a part of a double A single with George Harrison’s ‘Something’- with ‘Something’ being the bigger and better hit/ song. Many would no doubt rank ‘Come Together’ higher than #55- but ..this is a Beatles countdown- and there are 54 songs that I like more than this one. Ringo said earlier this year that it was his favorite Beatles song.
