Denise LaSalle born Denise Craig in LeFlore County Mississippi in 1939- -an R&B singer-songwriter who moved to Chicago in the 1950’s- had 4 Hot 100 singles- but ‘Trapped By A Thing Called Love’ was the only one to crack the Top 40. LaSalle died in 2018 at the age of 83.
