#60: ‘Get Back”- A Paul McCartney written song which went to #1 in the spring of 1969. It would later be included in the Let It Be album. The single was credited to The Beatles with Billy Preston. Preston played piano on the song. John Lennon would later say of the song -that it was a better rewrite of ‘Lady Madonna’- and that he also thought there was a message to Yoko in the song- that in the studio when Paul would sing the line ‘ get back to where you once belonged’ that he would look at Yoko. I can’t blame him. I like the b-side of the single more ‘Don’t Let Me Down.’
