Blood, Sweat and Tears broke out with incredible success on the charts in 1969- their first three singles ” You’ve Made Me So Very Happy’, ‘Spinning Wheel’ and ‘And When I Die’ all peaked at #2. They would never have another Top 10 hit- and this ‘Go Down Gamblin’ would be their final Top 40 hit. Overall the Rock-jazz band formed by the great session man Al Kooper- had 10 Hot 100 hits with 6 making the Top 40.
