American Top 40- The 1970’s- Week of July 23, 1977. This is for the most part a very very good week- I have a number of A+ grades but there are also 4 that I gave F’s too which is probably a record. Elvis had a debut single ‘Way On Down’- it was his last hit during his life- he would be dead within a month. The one song on here that I never hear on the radio that is a real gem is the Rod Stewart song ‘The Killing Of Georgie’- one of his best ever songs. I can’t pick a favorite from this group too many to chose from.
