“Riders On The Storm’ entered the Billboard Hot 100 on July 3, 1971- the same day that The Doors lead singer Jim Morrison died in Paris. This would be The Doors final Top 40 hit. All told the Los Angeles rock band had16 Hot 100 singles with 8 hitting the Top 40- including 2 #1’s- “Light My Fire’ 1967 and ‘Hello, I Love You” 1968.
This is a great song, but I’m kinda surprised to see you give it an A+ Hans, given your general antipathy for Jim Morrison.
The Doors had some good stuff- just think they are very overrated.. 2 great albums- their first and their last.
Like these guys Hans.
One of my all-time favorite Doors tunes – never gets old!
