Robert Palmer’s only #1 hit- and one of the more memorable videos of that era. He did have two singles peak at #2- ‘I Didn’t Mean To Turn You On’ also in 1986 and ‘Simply Irresistible’ #2 in 1988. Robert Palmer died way too young- of a heart attack in 2003 at the age of 54. Palmer smoked as many as 60 cigarettes a day.

    • His death came as a shocker- it wasn’t like he was some rock and roll wildman- those types seem to live forever!
