Hmmm. Elton John lyricist Bernie Taupin wrote this song -along with Martin Page who was having some year- Martin Page of Mr. Mister fame- three #1 hits under his name in a few short months. Don’t care for any of them but I reckon this is the best of the sorry lot. By this point in time Heart had long sold their souls for pop success. The Heart of the 70’s were a totally different band. Another #1 hit from this era that I can do without ever hearing again. This was the first Heart single where Nancy Wilson sang the lead vocals instead of Ann. Are the Wilson sisters still feuding?
Dear Dog I haven’t thought of or heard this song in so long. I was with a girl who idolised Nancy and this song was constant at the time
Taupin was having hits too – this and We Built This City in the mid 1980s.
