The Stylistics were a Philadelphia soul group-who had a lot of success on both the R&B and Pop singles charts in the first half of the 1970’s- this was their first Billboard Top 40 Pop hit. This was the first of ten straight Top 40 hits by the group- with their biggest being a #2 in 1974 “You Make Me Feel Brand New.”
