A pretty good week- a number of A’s in this countdown- I think my favorite song in the bunch is “Raspberry Beret” by Prince- one of my favorite Prince tunes. I recognize most of these tunes based on their titles. Some good stuff on here.
Katrina & the Waves created, well, quite some waves in Germany at the time. “Walking on Sunshine” and “Red Wine and Whiskey” were on the radio all time. But then the waves disappeared as quickly as they had arrived.
Loved Tear for Fears, and also The Pet Shop Boys, who were around the same time, I think.
