Harry Nilsson was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1971. A gifted pop singer- songwriter. He wrote Three Dog Night’s hit ‘One.’ In 1968 when The Beatles were asked who their favorite American recording artist was they answered – Harry Nilsson. Nilsson oddly enough for a great songwriter that he was- had his two biggest hits- written by others- “Everybody’s Talkin’ #6- the theme to Midnight Cowboy- was written by Fred Neil and his #1 hit ‘Without You’ was written by Tom Evans and Pete Ham of Badfinger. Nilsson died in 1994 of a heart attack at the age of 52.
I love this song, and the film in which it featured. Thank you!
