My Music Listening Journal 2021: Day 58: Saturday February 27, 2021.

- DAVID BOWIE: OUTSIDE: 1995: 3 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: ITUNES: ART ROCK: A concept album that centers on characters in a dystopian world on the eve of the 21st Century. There is a lot going on here with 19 songs and an hour and fifteen minutes- maybe a little too much. There were three singles released none made any impact on the charts. The album did fairly well. The album has its moments.

- THE ROLLING STONES: OUT OF OUR HEADS: 1965: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: IPOD: ROCK: The Stones are still relying on cover versions here but there are four originals and they are the Mount Rushmore of this album- “I’m Free”, ‘The Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man’, ‘Heart Of Stone’ and “Gotta Get Away.’
It took *decades* for “1. Outside” to grow on me. I feel you.
I need more listens to it….
I like Outside, conceptually impenetrable, but a lot of good songs.
Like that Stones album a lot
