American Top 40- The 1960’s- Week of February 24, 1968. A good mixture of songs/styles here in this Top 40. ‘Dock Of The Bay” easily gets my vote as the greatest song in this 40.

  1. Paul Mauriat’s version of “Love is Blue” was my favorite song for four years, until it was supplanted by “Stairway to Heaven” in 1972. I’ve hated every other version I’ve ever heard of the song, especially the ones with vocals, as they all sound incredibly sappy. But there’s something about the instrumentals and arrangement of his version that really gets to me.
