$184: “Bad Boy” from The Beatles VI in America/ Past Masters One. A cover of a Larry Williams song- “Bad Boy” was originally released only in the United States- in 1965 but later came out in the UK on a compilation album in 1966. This was recorded on Larry Williams birthday- a coincidence I am sure. John sings lead on this cover which made the top 10 in Sweden. I can’t say I dislike this song but I am not a big fan of it either. Thankfully the days of The Beatles covering the songs of others was coming to an end.
#183: ” She’s A Woman”- from The Beatles ’65 in America and later Past Masters One. A b-side of “I Feel Fine.” Written mostly by Paul with some help from John- sung by Paul. Deducted at least ten spots for the opening line
My love don’t give me presents
I know that she’s no peasant
Come on Paul you can do better than that.
Overall not a bad tune though- if I were grading the songs – a solid C. Some of the critics in my Beatles literature like this song a little more than I do- but I do like it.
Loved that song
I like “She’s a Woman”, mainly due to that guitar riff.
