Ranking All 28 #1 Billboard Hits- 1977. I notice as far as #1 hits go- 1977 was a big improvement over the singles which hit the top of the singles chart in 1975 and 1976. There was of course one of the worst if not the worst #1 ever – in 1977 but in looking over this list again even ones I have in the 20’s I can tolerate.

OMG memories of high school graduation , and the Eagles tops!! Thanks
My favorite songs of 1977 are:
Dreams – Fleetwood Mac
Year of the Cat – Al Stewart
Strawberry Letter #23 – The Brothers Johnson
How Deep is Your Love – Bee Gees
Dancing Queen – ABBA
All outstanding tunes.
I’d have to have Dreams at #1, New Kid in Town #2 and Don’t Leave Me This Way at #3. Yeah. I know. You hate the Eagles, Lebowski…LOL!
I LOVE ABBA but, Dancing Queen has been played to death.
To me at least Dancing Queen is a song I never get tired of..
