A chart oddity occurred in the late summer/ early fall of 1977. “I Just Want To Be Your Everything” Andy Gibb was #1 for 3 weeks- replaced by “Best Of My Love’- The Emotions. Then an odd thing happened after a month- ‘I Just Want To Be Your Everything” returned to #1 for a week- and then ” Best Of My Love” jumped back into #1 for another week. Then for a couple weeks the Star Wars craze took over with this version of two songs from the Star Wars movie. There were two versions with Meco’s version topping the original by John Williams. Meco was Meco Monardo a record producer and musician. This was his first hit- he would have several more all movie related.
