“Pick Up The Pieces” is an instrumental- with the shouting out of the songs time here and there throughout the song. Average White Band were a funk-R&B band from Scotland. This was their breakthrough first hit- they would have one more top 10 hit also in 1975 in “Cut The Cake.”

I had no idea that AWB were Scottish. These guys could jam! Love the hits they had on the radio. This was right around the time I started listening to FM radio (even tho AWB weren’t on it.)
