Poco was a country rock band formed in Los Angeles. In the band were former Buffalo Springfield members Richie Furay and Jim Messina- and also a couple future Eagles [don’t hold that against them]- Randy Meisner later on Timothy B. Schmit. From 1970-89 they had 13 Hot 100 singles with4 making the Top 40- their biggest hit being “Crazy Love” #17 in 1979.
Poor Poco. Good band but could never find a niche. Rock audiences were not quite ready to embrace Country in 1970 as it was, but the songs were generally missing an “edge.” Needed a little more Merle.
poor timing!
Interesting to me that Schmit followed Meisner in two bands.
