A September of Demento- Most of the songs I am selecting are ones that come to mind from all those years ago- listening to the show- “Beep Beep” by The Playmates was released back in 1958 on Roulette Records. The Playmates would have five Top 40 hits- “Beep Beep” was their biggest- ” Beep Beep” sold a million copies and rose to #4 on the Billboard singles chart-and years later became a favorite on the Dr. Demento Show.
