This is the song in which Sam Cooke wrote and performed and it was Lou Rawls who in a way stole the show with his back ground singing on that Cooke hit with his answering “Yeah’s.” Lou was born in 1933 Chicago. He died at 72 of cancer in 2006. From 1965-80 he had 19 Hot 100 Singles with 6 making the Top 40. His biggest hit was “You’ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine”- #2 1976. I once saw Lou sing the National Anthem at a Cleveland Indian game. He did a great job of it- not quite Marvin Gaye/ Jose Feliciano territory but he held his own.
