I love how Jose Feliciano can take on a famous song and give it his own treatment. “Susie-Q” was first introduced by Dale Hawkins in the 1950’s and the most famous version is by early Creedence Clearwater Revival.
He is very good in covering songs. I realized it a month ago when I played his greatest hits compilation in the car; something like a fourth of the tracks are covers
He makes the covers interesting to listen to.
Yes, pretty much. Light My Fire, In My Life… thanks
Jose Feliciano is a fantastic artist and obviously a hell of a guitarist. I also agree he does terrific covers. One I’ve always liked is his take of The Doors’ “Light My Fire.” And this cover you highlighted here is also killer!
One of my favorites of his- The Star Spangled Banner- at the 1968 World Series.
