The Grass Roots- a pop/rock band formed in Los Angeles. When I think of them today their guitarist Creed Bratton comes to mind- he played Creed- in the American version of “The Office.” The Grass Roots had 21 Hot 100 singles from 1966-75 with 14 making the Top 40. “Midnight Confessions”- #5 in 1968 was their biggest hit.
I had no idea Creed was with the Grass Roots.
I forget where I had heard that … I would have never guessed that but that was a long time ago in his youth!
And such an odd video, which doesn’t really go with the song or lyrics.
