My Music Listening Journal: Day 107/366: Thursday April 16, 2020.
- THE WHO: MEATY BEATY BIG AND BOUNCY: 1971: 5 PLUS STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: VINYL ALBUM: One of my favorite ever complication albums- this album features the best of The Who up until and including Tommy. I love putting this album on and turning up the volume. Fourteen great songs-not a dude among them. Not all of them were hits- but they all should have been.
- ROGER MILLER: A TENDER LOOK AT LOVE: 1968: 2 1/2 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: An odd album- Roger was at the peak of his powers and popularity and this is an album of love songs-and the bummer is- he only wrote one of them. Mostly covers of well known songs of that era- “By The Time I Get To Phoenix’, “Little Green Apples”, “Honey”- the album could have used more Miller material and a little more bite.
