A Latin band out of Los Angeles -El Chicano had 3 Hot 100 hits with 2 making the Top 40. “Viva Tirado” is an instrumental a fusion of rock. soul, funk, blues, jazz and salsa. Reminds me of Santana. Their debut album was also their most successful one. This single made the Top 40 – I do not recall ever hearing it until now.
I loved this song back in the day, and even bought the 45 single. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and it got a lot of airplay on San Francisco radio stations.
I don’t think I had ever heard it before..
You know this reminds me of the theme song of a tv series from that time. Maybe The Odd Couple?
