So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is…fear itself — nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance. In every dark hour of our national life a leadership of frankness and of vigor has met with that understanding and support of the people themselves which is essential to victory. And I am convinced that you will again give that support to leadership in these critical days.

Maybe… I thought that quote seemed appropriate for the events of this week- and probably into the near future at least.
Good point, love!
I see Bernie Sanders as being a lot like FDR.
Oh My…..
FDR’s quote makes me feel nostalgic for a time before my birth.
Those would have been rough times to be alive.. Depression and WWII.
My parents recounted their growing up experience during those days. The times on the farms were harsh. I wouldn’t want to actually live then, but there was a certain wholesomeness about the people of that era.
one of my grandmothers was always telling me stories of growing up on the farm etc- it always reminded me of The Waltons.. my other grandparents didn’t look on those times as nostalgically.
