One of my favorite Elvis songs of the 70’s- “Kentucky Rain” was written by Eddie Rabbitt- that was his real name Eddie Rabbitt- Rabbitt would gain fame later in the decade with another song about rain- “I Love A Rainy Night.” Playing piano on “Kentucky Rain” another future star- Ronnie Milsap. This was the first of 5 Top 40 hits in 1970 for Elvis- the biggest would be “The Wonder of You”- #9 later in the year.

I love the early Elvis but man did he commit to stuff like this. Sounds good.
