From 1962-80- Bobby Vinton from Canonsburg, Pennsylvania had 44 Hot 100 singles. “My Elusive Dreams” was a county hit in 1967 by Tammy Wynette and David Houston. Vinton had 3 Hot 100 singles in 1970 but none were able to crack the Hot 100. Vinton would have his own variety series from 1975-78- I have no memory of this show.  Vinton in his career had 4 #1 hits- “”Roses Are Red” 1962, “Blue Velvet” 1963, “There! I’ve Said It Again” 1963, and “Mr. Lonely” 1964.
