Jerry Butler- “The Ice Man” originally gained fame in The Impressions but he left early for a solo career in 1958. This was the first of four Hot 100 singles he would have in 1970- none of which made the Top 40. This song is a lot better than the title would suggest. During his career Butler has had 39 Hot 100 singles with 16 making the Top 40. His biggest Billboard Hot 100 Pop hit was “Only The Strong Survive” #4 in 1969.
