Turn”/To Everything There Is A Season”- Judy Collins, “I’m Tired”- Savoy Brown, “Going Out Of My Head”/ “Forget To Remember”- Frank Sinatra and “You Keep Me Hanging On”- Wilson Pickett.

616. “Turn! Turn! Turn!”/ “To Everything There Is A Season.”- Judy Collins. Elektra. Pop. Lyrics adapted by Pete Seeger from the Book Of Ecclesiastes. B-side: “Pack Up Your Sorrows” Peaked at #69 7 weeks in the Hot 100. The 3rd of 3 1969 Hot 100 singles for Judy Collins- none made the Top 40. Grade: B+

 

617. “I’m Tired” Savoy Brown. Parrott. Blues -Rock. Written by Chris Youlden. B-side:”Stay With Me Baby.” Peaked at #74 5 weeks on the chart.  The first of 3 career Hot 100 hits by the British blues-rock group formed in 1966. None of their 3 Hot 100 hits made the Top 40. Grade: B-

 

618-619. “Goin’ Out Of My Head”- Frank Sinatra. Reprise. Pop Written by Victoria Pike.. B-side: “Forget To Remember” Peaked at #79 4 weeks on the chart. The B-side “Forget To Remember ” also was listed on the chart due to it receiving enough airplay also- it was written by Bobby Weinstein. Frank had 5 Hot 100 hits in 1969- with “My Way” #27 being the biggest. Grade: B.

 

620. “You Keep Me Hanging On”- Wilson Pickett. Atlantic. Soul. Written by Holland-Dozier-Holland. B-side:”Now You See Me, Now You Don’t” Peaked at #92 3 weeks on the chart. Cover of The Surpemes hit.  Wilson Pickett had 3 Hot 100 singles in 1969- none made it into the Top 40. Grade: B+
