Kenny Rogers and The First Edition had ten Hot 100 hits between 1968-72- before the lull in his career before he came back as an easy listening country-pop singer.The first seven singles were top 40 hits by Rogers and First Edition- before their popularity went into decline. 503. “Echo Park”- Keith Barbour. Epic. Pop. Written by Buzz Clifford. B-side:”Here I Am Losing You’ Peaked at # 40- 9 weeks in the Hot 100. Barbour was a pop singer from New York City- a former member of The New Christy Minstrels – this was hit only Hot 100 hit. Grade: C
