  1. I was three years old when Ozzy made that announcement…literally. Shouldn’t it read August 30?

I would have liked to have been old enough & attend the Isle of Wight. Woodstock would have been too much for me.

  2. Never knew Black Sabbath had a prior name which was so benign! Was their music mellow when they were Earth, I wonder? Are there are recordings of the Isle of Wight festival, do you know? Glad the pitcher was inspired by his adoring fan. Isn’t it astounding to know that the internet didn’t exist 50 years ago!

    • I remember the first time I read that Ozzie was a big Beatles fan- thinking it odd- with the music he made…but I guess he really wasn’t going to sound like The Beatles with his voice…. It has gotten to the point where I almost forget that the internet didn’t exist as we know it even in the early 90’s.. it seems such a part of everyday life now…..
